Twelve new farmers' training plots opened in South Sudan

Farmers in South Sudan are learning vital new agricultural skills thanks to new demonstration plots established by Farm Africa. Farmers participating in our Food Security and Livelihoods Project are also benefitting from new tools and seed varieties supplied by Farm Africa. New tools and techniques create surpluses which can be sold to generate income.

Friend of Farm from Gloucestershire, Martin Taylor, recently gave an interview to BBC Radio about what Farm Africa is doing to develop long-term, sustainable strategies for ending poverty and hunger in eastern Africa. Martin also shares ideas about how clergy, churches and congregations can get involved in our Give Poverty the Boot campaign during the upcoming Harvest Festival.

Leading UK Food Executives depart for Kilimanjaro challenge in aid of Farm Africa

Ten leading executives from the UK's food sector have just set off rom the UK to climb the world's tallest freestanding mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro, in aid of Farm Africa. As they set off the team had already riased a staggering £218,000! Sponsor the team and follow their progress on the mountain.

Ten senior executives from the UK Food sector are set to make their final push for the summit of Kilimanjaro tonight. The team has raised an incredible £220,000 so far. To get to the top they will have to climb a further 1200 meters, walking through the night and in oxygen-thin air. Follow their progress via their blog!

UK Food Sector executives in training for the ultimate challenge

A group of senior figures from the UK Food Sector is preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest free-standing mountain on earth, this September in aid of Farm Africa. The expedition team will be taking on a gruelling eight day trek which is the equivalent of climbing Scafell Pike six times.
